BETTER TOGETHER BARS

INGREDIENTS:

(YIELDS Approximately. 36 bars)

  • 1 C Cricket Flour
  • 1/2 C Roasted Cricket
  • 1/2 C Almond Flour
  • 1/2 C Cacao Powder
  • 1 C Raw Unsalted Cashews
  • 1 C Raw Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 C Raw Unsalted Sunflower Seeds
  • 1/2 C Flaxseed
  • 1 C Oats
  • 1/2 C Seed Butter (or Peanut Butter)
  • 1/3 C Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 1/2 C Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1 C Honey
  • 3 tbsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/4 C Tart Cherries
  • 25 Organic Medjool Dates – Pitted
  • 1C Dark Chocolate Chips

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove pits from dates.

Process first four ingredients until roasted  crickets are well blended and look like chunky sand (approximatly 5-7 seconds).

Process next five ingredients: Cashews – Flaxseed for about 5-7 seconds. 

Be sure not to over-process, you want slightly chunky mix.

Combine all eight ingredients in mixing bowl and add oats.

In a seperate bowl combine next eight ingredients: Seed Butter – Salt 

Combine wet and dry mixes and blend.

Add Dates and Cherries to food processor for appx. 10 seconds & Stir into mixing bowl.

Add Chocolate Chips and blend well.

Roll into 60oz balls, place on parchment-lined baking sheet and shape into bars.

Bake @ 250 for 45 min.

Pay Day Bites

 

This recipe is so easy to make and hits the spot when you have a sweet tooth. It’s easy to modify too! Add more seeds, toss in some coconut, dial up the heat with red pepper. (You get this idea:)

Store in the refrigerator for about a week.

 

INGREDIENTS:

(YIELDS Approximately. 36 bars)

 

2 C Dates

1/4 C Roasted crickets

2 Tbsp Cricket Powder

1/4 C Flaxseed

1 1/4 C Cashews

Pink of salt

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Take pits out of dates

 

Process cricket flour and roasted crickets  and dates until pasty in texture.

 

Add “paste” to a bowl and let chill for 15-20 minutes.

 

Process next four ingredients: Seeds and nute about 5-7 seconds. 

 

Be sure not to over-process, you want slightly chunky mix.

Roll paste into teaspoon size balls

 

Sprinkle with salt

 

Roll in crushed seed/nut mix

 

 

Chill for 30 minutes and Enjoy!
